La Terrasse des Paresseux

#Lookout

Bustling, lively Place Faro – also known as La Terrasse des Paresseux (Idler’s Terrace) – is a focal point of Tangier’s intoxicating street life, where locals drift in to sip mint tea in cafés and visitors come to admire views over the Straits of Gibraltar to Europe. Brass cannons placed there during colonial times still guard the promenade, and you can check what’s happening over in Spain from telescopes pointing north across the sea.
